Jerónimo Reyes-Retana (b. Mexico City, 1984) is an artist whose practice reinvents, by re-coding physical structures, the use of preconceived systems to propose a space for alternative codifications supported by synthetic environments of multiple associations. As an artist working in the field of sound installation, Reyes-Retana employs both analog and digital technology to create art objects that expose omnipresence as a mechanism to reconfigure meaning. He was recently featured by OMR Gallery (Mexico City) in Salón ACME (2019). His work has been shown in Mutek (International Festival of Digital Creativity, Mexico City), Paul Kasmin (New York), and Efraín López (Chicago). Reyes-Retana was born in Mexico City. He lives and works in Texas.
