Pia Camil Valparaiso Green Cloak for Three, 2016
Pia Camil (b. Mexico, 1980) lives and works in Mexico City. She has a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London. Camil’s work is usually associated to the Mexican urban landscape, a critical approach to modernism's legacy and the politics of consumerism. In her recent work, she emphasizes the importance of collectivity through public participation.
